Finance
Co-President
Visakan Swaminathan
Visakan is a third-year Economics & Management student at St Hugh’s College. He joined CapitOx in his first year, starting off in the Academy. He went on to join the Fund as an Analyst, moving on to lead a team. In year 2, he stepped up to the CIO and MD roles, before being elected as President. Having run more than 4 terms of Academy and pioneered the integrated Academy teaching both buy-side and sell-side components jointly.
Now as the President, Visakan overlooks all divisions in CapitOx Finance, while having a deep focus on enriching every member’s experience in CapitOx - from academy students to the committee. Outside of CapitOx, Visakan loves all kinds of sports - from tennis to F1, and never misses any friend group gathering.
Managing Director & COO
Tanush Agarwal
Tanush is an incoming third year PPE student at St Catherine’s College. Tanush joined CapitOx in Hilary of first year, initially finding interest in consulting before switching over to the finance side for its closer intersection with economics and more analytical skillset. In his time from M&A PL to MD Finance, Tanush has run the Oxford International M&A Open. Now, alongside Tomi, he is responsible for overseeing the finance arm of CapitOx, including sponsorships, organisation, and curriculum.
As Head of Operations, Tanush is in charge of all operations within CapitOx, including marketing, events booking, and more. Outside of CapitOx, Tanush is an avid competitive debater, loves cooking and baking, and is a big fan of basketball and badminton.
Managing Director
Tomas Wilcock
Tomas is a third-year Economics & Management student at St Hilda’s College. He joined CapitOx in his second year, starting in the finance academy before holding positions across all finance groups in CapitOx. As Head of Training, further developing the academy training program to 40+ students. As M&A Analyst and Portfolio Manager he has competed in CapitOx’s M&A and stock pitch competitions. Finally, as Managing Director he is working to develop new initiatives within the society and further industry relationships.
Outside of CapitOx, Tomas has a number of interests including classic cars, having restored a 1996 Toyota MR2 from shell, sports, including rowing and rugby, and travelling.
CIO
Keren (Michael) Wang
Michael is a third-year Economics & Management student at St Catherine’s College. He joined CapitOx in his first year and became deeply involved in the finance branch, serving two terms as an M&A project leader before becoming M&A Director and co-founding the Private Equity Group. He also co-founded the Oxford International M&A Competition, hosting it in HT25 and TT25 and scaling it into a global sell-side initiative. Now, as CIO of the CapitOx live fund, he works with the Investment Committee to oversee research and investments across a broad portfolio of equities and macro ideas.
Outside of CapitOx, Michael is passionate about travel and languages — he speaks four and enjoys meeting people from different cultures. In his free time, he holds a Taekwondo black belt and enjoys basketball, cooking, and watching F1.

Co-President
Eleanor Wilson
Eleanor is an incoming 4th year Experimental Psychology student at St. John‘s College. Eleanor joined CapitOx in Michaelmas Term last year as a Senior Consultant, before joining the committee as an Associate Director the following term. While Eleanor was working on projects she had the opportunity to work with a major national airline and a global coffee chain.
As President of Consulting, Eleanor manages client relationships and engagements, organises the consultant recruitment process, and facilitates the day to day running of the society. Outside of CapitOx, Eleanor enjoys reading, cooking, and writing.
Managing Director
Abram Chan
Abram is an incoming third year PPE student at Harris Manchester College, and has been with CapitOx since Michaelmas of first year as a bootcamp trainee. Along the way, he has undertaken projects with clients such as Google in various capacities.
As Managing Director of Consulting, Abram is responsible for the continued operations of CapitOx’s consulting arm, from client engagement to recruitment to outreach initiatives such as Breaking into Consulting. Outside of CapitOx, Abram loves to cook, tinker with his PC, and play football.
