HT25 Academy Graduate | Summer Intern at Centerview Partners New York

“Through interactive workshops, I developed a strong foundation in DCF valuation, comparable companies analysis, accounting, and more, which was reinforced by hands-on assignments. The academy’s mentorship program paired me with an experienced mentor who guided me through both assigned work and broader industry insights. This allowed me to broaden my network, and with help from members within Capitox and the mentor, I was able to successfully secure an internship at Centerview Partners.”

  • Our training runs from Week 2 to Week 7 of term, following a kickoff session in Week 2. Through the programme, you’ll be learning about what goes behind executing M&A deals, financial modelling, and how to pitch an investment. The programme emphasises real applications and experience, and your learning will be enhanced by engaging and challenging assignments that test your knowledge.

The Academy will be capped with a stock pitch competition, allowing you to apply everything you’ve learnt practically and gain experience on your CV. Every trainee will be assigned an experienced mentor, who will help them with applications, technicals, and all things finance related. You can look forward to free mentoring sessions and socials with the rest of your academy cohort, all the while honing your finance and applications knowledge.

Trainees are expected to devote 3-4 hours weekly, though this can vary depending on the week and the level of difficulty of the material involved. This time includes the academy sessions, research, and time spent doing the assignments.

Strong candidates will automatically be considered for our M&A Group and Fund programs, allowing you to take your passion and learning to the next step. Trainees are also invited to our social events throughout the term - last term alone saw Junkyard Golf, Poker, Pizza, and several team dinners!

  • You don’t have to be a genius in finance or even KNOW that you want to enter finance, we’re just looking for students who are eager and willing to learn, and can devote the time required to make the most out of the academy. No technical or background knowledge required.

  • Applications will reopen around the 0th week of Michaelmas 2025. You will be required to complete an initial application form, if successful there will be an interview, where we seek to find out more about what you think and how you would approach a problem. Interviews and offers are given on a rolling basis.
